Course Objectives:

A practical guide to companion animal care with emphasis on nutrient requirements and health of dogs and cats. Other emphasis includes human and animal bond, training, diseases and parasites, and emergency and first aid.

Requirements:

  1. Term Project: All students will be required to attend and observe the following class project:
    • Human and Animal Bond. Students will write a two- page reaction paper summarizing your experience and knowledge gained through this project. The reaction paper will be due one week after participating in the term project.
  2. Summary of Guest Lecturers Presentation: All students are required to write a summary (one page) highlighting key issues covered by each guest lecturer. The summary will be due the next class day after the guest lecture.

Grade:

300-270 = A;   269-240 = B;   239-210 = C;   209-180 = D; 179  = F
